Coldplay's Chris Martin & Dakota Johnson Are Reportedly Engaged After 7 Years Together

We hear wedding bells ringing!

Dakota Johnson's name is once again in the spotlight. Following a heavily discussed press tour for the underwhelming film Madame Web, now new reports are surfacing suggesting that she is now engaged to Chris Martin, her partner of seven years and the lead singer of Coldplay.

As reported by British tabloids, The 47-year-old musician is said to have proposed to Dakota 'a while ago and have kept the news private', with the blessing of his former wife Gwyneth Paltrow and their children Apple and Moses. Despite their divorce, Chris and Gwyneth have remained close friends.

Chris and Dakota officially started dating around 2017, after his divorce from Gwyneth was finalised. The couple have been known for keeping their relationship low-key, rarely appearing together at events or on red carpets.

It's reported that there's no 'bad blood' between Gwyneth, the CEO of Goop, and Dakota, the A-list actress. In fact, they're said to be friends and have even gone on beach vacations to the Hamptons together with their respective partners.

In a recent interview, Dakota openly talked about her role as a stepmother to Chris and Gwyneth's two children. When asked if she enjoyed being a stepmother, She replied, "I adore those kids as if my whole world revolves around them. Completely from my heart."
