It is the time of the year to book your flights and prepare for a long well deserved holidays! Whether you are travelling to a cold country or a tropical island, dressing for the airport is never easy. Comfort is key, but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to sacrifice your style.

#1 Sneakers or Comfortable Shoes

Travelling often involves a lot of walking too, around and from the airport and to your terminal. Avoid high heels, although it may look stylish comfort is the key.

#2 Jeans / Pants / Trousers / Leggings

Skinny jeans may look polished however, they don’t have a certain amount of stretch in them. It is best to avoid tight-fitting clothing. Boyfriend jeans / leggings or well-cut jogging trousers are all perfect alternatives that still look stylish yet comfortable to wear for an extended period.

#3 Oversized Tops

To keep going with the comfort theme, oversized clothes are a good option for this occasion. A big hoodie and an oversized coat are a must to this list. Not only will you be warm throughout the flight, but you will also be able to use it as a blanket.

It is best to layer your shirts, beginning with a light T-shirt or camisole. Add another layer, a more stylish shirt, such as a button-up blouse, on top of that. Layers create warmth without adding a lot of bulk, and they make it easy to cool down when needed. Plus, by layering some of your favourite tops, you’ll free up space in your luggage.

Outerwear is perhaps the most important item to consider if you want to look stylish at the airport. A nice jacket or sweater will cover a relaxed outfit. Choose a long jacket for the simplest mix of both coverage and warmth. Cardigan sweaters will also help to elevate your look.

Never forget to pack socks or wear them! Socks help to keep your feet warm throughout the flight. For flights that are longer than a few hours, you could even consider purchasing a pair of compression socks which will help the blood circulation in your legs.
