Retrospekt Has Partnered With Sanrio To Create “Strawberry Kawaii”, A Hello Kitty-Themed Collection Of Retro Cameras
Retrospekt, a product design and development studio, has teamed up with Sanrio once again to bring us another enchanting new collection - "Strawberry Kawaii". A charming blend of cuteness and nostalgia, this delightful range has Hello Kitty-themed retro tech products including cameras and even a cassette tape.
Each item has a clean white and pink palette and is adorned with Hello Kitty artwork and phrases like "Hello Kitty" and "Kawaii" in Japanese hiragana characters.

One of the highlights of this collaboration is the Polaroid 600 Hello Kitty Strawberry Kawaii instant film camera. Retrospekt has built this camera using refurbished components from vintage Polaroid cameras released in the '80s and '90s. Meticulously restored to function like new, these original parts are encased in newly designed plastic exteriors.
Retrospekt has also introduced two brand new products inspired by classic retro tech. The Retrospekt CP-81 portable cassette player brings back all the essential functions of the cassette tape experience, wrapped in strikingly sweet Hello Kitty graphics from headphones to player. Rounding up the collection is the FC-11 35mm camera, offered in two different Strawberry Kawaii designs. With its fixed-focus lens and optional flash, Retrospekt's FC-11 caters to the growing demand for easy-to-use film photography products. Simply line up the shot and press the shutter button to capture your memories in a truly nostalgic way.

Complement these cameras are two unique camera bags — one to fit each camera style in the collection — covered in Hello Kitty artwork, patches and vibrantly-coloured shoulder straps. The bags can also be used for other cameras in similar sizes or any small treasures that need organising.
The Retrospekt x Sanrio Strawberry Kawaii collection is priced from USD 80 to 243 (~SGD 106 to 323) and the camera bag is priced at USD 40 (~SGD 53), with shipping from Singapore starting at USD 37.
While the collection rapidly sold out on its launch day, Retrospekt is planning to restock it online at retrospekt.com in early 2024.
